Terms & Conditions

1. Hire Period

The standard hire period is 7 days from the date of delivery. Extensions can be arranged by contacting us prior to the end of the hire period. Additional charges may apply for extended hire.

2. Pricing & Payment

All prices are inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. Payment is required at the time of booking. The quoted price covers the skip hire, delivery, collection, and disposal at a licensed facility. Additional charges may apply for council permits, overweight skips, or extended hire periods.

3. Prohibited Items

Customers must not place prohibited items in our skips. These include but are not limited to: asbestos, tyres, fridges and freezers, TVs and monitors, batteries, chemicals, paint, gas cylinders, medical waste, or any hazardous materials. Additional charges will apply if prohibited items are found in our skips, and we reserve the right to refuse collection.

4. Skip Placement

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the skip can be placed in a suitable location. If placing on a public road, a valid council permit must be obtained before delivery (we can arrange this on request). We cannot be held responsible for damage to driveways, paths or surfaces caused by delivery, placement or collection of the skip.

5. Loading Rules

The skip must not be loaded above the top edge (fill line). An overfilled skip cannot be legally transported and the customer will be charged for any wasted journey. The customer is responsible for safe and legal loading of the skip.

6. Cancellations

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the agreed delivery time will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours of delivery may be subject to a cancellation charge.

7. Duty of Care

Low Cost Skips Scotland is a registered waste carrier. All waste is disposed of at licensed facilities. Customers should be aware that fly-tipping and illegal waste disposal carry significant penalties under Scottish law.

8. Liability

Low Cost Skips Scotland accepts no liability for loss or damage to property (other than that caused by our own negligence) or for any indirect losses arising from the hire of our equipment.

9. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland.
